JALAPENO POPPER DIP

 

All the flavors of jalapeno poppers in an easy to whip up dip. I love that this recipe cuts the laborious efforts of making poppers to almost nil. Get the tortilla chips ready.

 

 

 

Ingredients:

1  8ounce package of cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup mayonaisse

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup cheddar cheese shredded

 1/2 cup romano cheese grated

 1 tablespoon catsup

1 tablespoon scallions chopped fine

4 -6 fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped with seeds removed

 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

2 tablespoons romano cheese, grated

2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

 

 

 

 

                                                                                          

                                                                                                                        Preheat oven to 375º  

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

1.  Beat cream cheese until smooth.

2.  Add the next 8 ingredients and mix well and pour into a greased baking dish.

3.  Combine panko bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of romano cheese and melted butter and spread on top          of dip.

4.  Bake at 375º for 20 minutes.

 

     Serve hot with tortilla chips.
